Nomad Hotel Jávea – A Slow Luxury Stay in Costa Blanca
After an intense week of work, I felt that familiar need to not just to rest, but to travel again. To feel that spark of discovery without going too far. And that’s exactly what happened when I checked into Nomad Hotel Jávea, one of the most gorgeous boutique hotels in Costa Blanca.
Design That Speaks the Language of World Beauty
Nomad’s interior design is a love letter to natural beauty from around the world. It evokes the spirit of a traveler arriving to an enchanting island. Wood, stone, ceramic, linen... blend beautifully, rooted in nature, yet seamlessly refined. Everything is intertwined with a strong sense of identity that, I’m sure, resonates with the traveler’s spirit within each of us.
AND! I was lucky enough to be given one of the best rooms — spacious, beautifully designed, comfy bed, and with an incredible view over the sea. It felt like we were literally floating above the water. The silence was absolute.
And the bathtub… I have to mention it. I L-O-V-E bathtubs, even better when connected to nature.
Sea, Art and Small Joys in Jávea
That weekend turned out to be one of those you remember for a long time. We visited El eco de las pasos, the commissioned artwork by Sean Mackaoui, an exhibition curated in La Casa del Cable (next door to the hotel) by one of my favourite collage artists of all time. His way of blending humor, simplicity with the surreal always inspires me.
To make it even more special, the exhibition also included pieces by another artist I absolutely admire — Chema Madoz, whose work always manages to turn simplicity into pure metaphor.
Anyway, I seriously want to come back here — if not the one in Jávea, then maybe I’ll try the one in Altea or even Benidorm. I’d like to check if it has the same standard and feeling — the art, the sea, the sunlight, the wandering through streets, stopping for a cold beer… The perfect Mediterranean weekend: unhurried, beautiful, and full of meaning.
